Beware of Priced to Sell, Not to Last.
Are not all dental implants the same?
One could easily assume that a dental implant placed by a dentist for a HIGHER fee would perform the same way as an implant for a LOWER fee. This is most certainly not true.
A higher quality implant costs the dentist more, a surgical guide to ensure the implant is centered in the bone costs the dentist more, authentic components to restore your tooth cost more, even having the right finish on your crown to create healthy bone and gums will cost more. It is highly unlikely a low cost implant provider will achieve most, if any of these parameter. It simply eats into their profit.
They buy lost cost generic implants in bulk, use labs with cheaper fees that use aftermarket components which most likely underperform and can damage your implant click for link.
It is highly unlikely a cheaper implant is achieving most or any of the above parameters which are integral to maintaining long term implant health.
Is it worth paying for reduced cost dental implants?
In my opinion, low cost implants are priced to sell, not to last.
What about mini dental Implants?
Mini dental implants were initially FDA approved for short term use only and later they were approved for longer term use. Mini implants perform better in areas of very dense bone and manufactures petitioned the FDA for long term approval by showing how well they work in very dense bone. The manufactures were able to gain market share, but they opened the door for negligence and unnecesary pain and failure for patients that receive implants in softer bone.
